Terms of use

These terms apply when you use visitorops.com, including its guides, install pages and tools. “We”, “us” and “our” mean the business that runs this site. By using the site, you accept these terms. This version is effective September 27, 2026.

What VisitorOps is, and what it is not

VisitorOps is an independent publication of operating guides, worksheets and calculators for B2B website visitor identification, lead routing and follow-up. It is not a visitor identification vendor, a lead-generation service, a consultancy or a law firm. We do not run tracking on your site, see your CRM, or act for you with any vendor.

Not legal advice

Many guides discuss privacy and marketing law, such as the GDPR, the ePrivacy rules on cookies, and US state privacy laws. That material is general information to help you prepare questions and run a careful process. It is not legal advice about your company, your data or your contracts, and reading it does not create a lawyer and client relationship. Whether a tool or a workflow is lawful for you depends on facts we do not see. Before you deploy visitor identification, change consent settings or contact people from identified visits, get advice from your own counsel. Where a guide and your counsel disagree, follow your counsel.

Guides, examples and dates

Vendor features, match rates, pricing, contract terms and laws change without notice. Each guide shows the date it was last checked and links to its sources. Worked examples are labeled when they are hypothetical. Before you rely on a vendor claim or a legal point, check the vendor’s current documentation or the current text of the law. If you find something out of date, please tell us.

Tools and install instructions

The tools on this site are calculators and checkers. Each one shows the inputs and the method it uses, and its result is only as good as the numbers you enter. The CSP checker applies the matching rules it describes to the policy you paste; it does not load your site or test a real browser. Install pages and code samples describe common setups and must be tested on your own site before you rely on them. You are responsible for the tags, consent settings and data flows on your own website.

The tools and all content are provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind, including accuracy, completeness, fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement, to the extent the law allows.

Independence from vendors

No vendor pays us to be covered, ranked or left out. We do not use affiliate or referral links, we do not publish sponsored content, and we carry no advertising. Comparisons cite each vendor’s own public documentation. Product and company names on this site belong to their owners. Naming a company does not mean that it endorses us or that we are connected with it.

Using the site

You may read, print and share pages, and use the worksheets, checklists and tool results in your own work, including at your company. You may quote short passages if you link to the page you quote. Please do not:

  • copy or republish whole guides or substantial parts of the site, or present our work as your own;
  • scrape or request pages at a rate that slows the site for others;
  • try to get into parts of the site or its systems that are not public, or interfere with their security;
  • use the site to break the law or to harm other people.

The text, tools, illustrations and design of VisitorOps belong to us or to the people who licensed them to us.

Links to other websites

Guides link to vendor pages, laws, regulators and other sources. We do not control those sites and are not responsible for their content or how they handle your information.

Limitation of liability

VisitorOps is free to use. To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect, incidental or consequential loss, such as lost revenue, lost data, a regulatory action or a vendor dispute, arising from your use of the site, its tools or its content. Our total liability for any claim about the site is limited to US$100. Nothing in these terms limits any liability or consumer right that the law does not allow to be limited.

Changes to the site and these terms

We may change, add or remove guides and tools at any time. When we change these terms, we update this page and its effective date. The version on this page when you use the site applies to that use.

Governing law and disputes

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of New York. If you have a complaint, write to us first and we will try to settle it within 30 days. You can always use the small claims court where you live.
